Mangaluru: Pattture Aquatic Club (PAC) Vaishnav Hegde Swimmer and Jyotsna Pansare have won a medal in swimming trials held at the center of the Basavanagudi waters between 24 and September 29.
Vaishnav Hegde participated in the Navy trial and qualified for all Indian Inter Services Swimming Championships held at the Basavanagudi Pool Center, Bengaluru, in the first week of October.
Vaishnav won three gold medals in a 50m breasts (29.01 seconds), 50m free style (24.1 seconds) and a 100m chest style (1.06 minutes).
He will represent the Indian Navy at the inter-service meeting.
Jyotsna Panse won three gold medals in the back style of 50m (31.3 seconds), 50m butterfly (29.3 seconds) and back style 100m (1.08 minutes) in the senior waters championship.
Thus Jyotsna has qualified for prestigious senior citizens held at the Basavanagudi pool on October 26.
