Mumbai: This city can expect a dry day ahead because the Indian Meteorology Department (IMD) has estimated only light for moderate wet spells throughout the week.
Monday did not witness the rain throughout the day with Colaba and Santacruz Observatories which recorded 0mm rainfall in nine hours ending 5.30 in the afternoon.
Within 24 hours 8:30 a.m.
on Monday, the Observatory of Colaba IMD had recorded 1.6 rain while Observatory Santacruz did not record.
Without rain activities in the city, the maximum temperature is also seen increasing compared to the weekend when they fall to 26 degrees Celsius.
On Monday, the Observatory Colaba IMD recorded a maximum temperature of 31 degrees while the one in Santacruz recorded 32.2 degrees.
A total of 2,362.9mm rainfall which was recorded so far by the Observatory Santacruz IMD has more than covering the normal rain of the season.
It’s already 596mm above normal.
