JAMSHEDPUR: The Health Department of the Serictela District of Kharsawan on Wednesday asked all public and private hospitals to notify health officials as soon as the cases related to Covid were reported at their respective facilities.
It comes two days after four cases of alleged multisystem inflammatory syndrome in children (MIS-C), which is associated with Covid-19, reported at the employees of employees of employees of the employees (ESIC) in Adityapur.
“All hospitals that have pediatric facilities must be careful when dealing with cases of Covid posts and each case must be reported to the department immediately,” said Officer Surveillance District Jhujhar Majhi.
On Tuesday, Majhi had looked for a detailed report from ESIC medical supervisor, M P Minz, after four cases of Mis-C who were allegedly reported in the hospital.
Majhi said that the hospital had not distributed reports, however, the supervisor has confirmed that the four children did it well after their care.
Minz said that of four children, all of which were accepted since Monday, someone had been repatriated.
He added, “The three-year-old boy was dismissed on Tuesday night after his condition improved while a two-year-old child and a 10-year-old child underwent treatment at this time.
Another, a 12-year-old boy, was referred to the main hospital because he was requires ventilation support.
His condition improved.
“Responding to Query, Minz said,” I have communicated information about receiving four children to district health officials by telephone.
Diagnosis and treatment reports will be immediately distributed.
“Meanwhile, Majhi said that the district health department had prepared The 10-bed capacity of the Pediatric intensive treatment unit (PICU) for post-covid-related gazes in children in a conscious hospital in the Seramala.
He added that the cases suspected of being MIS-C will first be referred to for counseling as soon as they are reported in a conscious hospital, after that, the investigation into the causes of symptoms will be carried out and if the patient requires further acceptance, then he will be accepted.
