Bhubaneswar: The Medical College and Hospital in Sundargarh will function from the academic year 2022-23 with the state government start the process needed for this purpose, said Minister of Health Naba Kisore Das.

Medical colleges have been established together by the State Government and National Thermal Power Corporation (NTPC).

The state government has also provided 271 post sanctions, including 160 teaching posts, 85 non-teaching posts and 26 other posts.
As a request for the second AIIM establishment in Sundargarh grew, the Minister of Health said there was no communication made by the center in this matter even when the state government had convinced cooperation.
