Nagpur: Because the state government has issued a new sidewalk after increasing Covid cases effective since Monday, TOI toured the city to watch the scene the day before.
Most of the city roads are empty on Sundays but a number of people can be seen without wearing masks.
Groups sit together in street restaurants, social blasphemy or mask seems to be a forgotten norm.
It is Sunday but the mall has a small foot point.
Toi visits two large outlets in the city.
“The crowd was normal until a day ago.
It might come down due to the weather,” said the staff at one of the malls.
However, the entry remains easy in both places.
There is no insistence on the vaccination certificate at the entrance gate or wearing a mandatory mask.
Only guards stand with thermal scanners.
“No, we don’t ask customers to produce certificates today.
We can do it if NMC asks us,” said a staff at one of the malls.
Many customers look without a mask in both malls.
Because most stores are closed due to Sundays, markets in certain pockets are open.
The market place near Indora has almost all open shops including street stalls.
The crowd can be ignored.
Young kids were seen in Futala enjoying the weather.
The state government dissected calls for assembly restrictions in groups of five or more.
Entering a place like a shopping center and restaurant have been allowed only for people who are fully vaccinated.
Commands that emphasize the mask and a distance of six feet as part of the right Covid behavior also clarify that the handkerchief will not be treated as a mask.
“The crowd has dropped since January the first week.
Even we keep watches, but sometimes it is difficult if the family comes.
The group has a member of the children who are not vaccinated,” said Micky Arora from the Hotel Center Point Group.
Dipen Agrawal from the Maharashtra Industrial and Trade Association Room (Camit), “As far as vaccination is considered, traders have made them their own rules.
Even the staff are encouraged to get themselves vaccinated.” Agrawal added that the sidewalk will have an impact on business.
It seems that the government acts too early.
It must appear with an explanation of the need for the sidewalk, if Omicron only leads to a mild disease.
