Chandigarh: Senior Sunil Jakhar Congress leader on Sunday digs Chararjit Singh Channi-LED government in Punjab for allegedly failing to issue newspaper advertisements to remember Indira’s death birthday.
In a tweet, Jakhar marked the Punjab government advertisement released last year under the Amarinder Singh-LED Congress government to commemorate the former Prime Minister.
“I can understand BJP trying to remove the ‘Iron Lady of India’ from history but don’t we still have a congressional government in Punjab,” Jakhar tweeted.
In another tweet, Jakhar made a veiled figure of the appointment of Jagdish Tytler as a permanent invitation to the new executive committee of the Delhi Congress and wondered if the government did not issue an ad to remember that Indira had something to do with it.
“Or is it a case ‘ever burned twice’ – considering a certain appointment two days ago?” Jakhar posted.
Tytler is one of the accused of being a 1984 anti-sikh suspension in Delhi.
“PS.
I know Captain Saab (Amarinder) will not object to PB Govt’s ad from last year, because no one appears today,” he added in another tweet.
Indira Gandhi was killed today in 1984 by two security guards themselves.
Opposition parties including BJP and sad in Punjab have targeted the government to lead the government for the promise of Tytler.
BJP leader Tarun Chugh on Saturday asked Minister Punjab Charajit Singh Channi and head of the Navjot Singh Sidhu Congress Unit to clarify whether they support the appointment of Tytler as a permanent invitation to the committee.
“Tytler has been crowned as one of the leaders of the main Congress in Delhi, but he, Kamal Nath and Sajjan Kumar continued to be a blue-eyed boy from the party despite the fact that their role in the riots against Sikh was always highlighted.
By many witnesses,” Chugh Channi said visiting Delhi and the AAP leader tweeted.
Kejriwal has responded with a smile icon before Congress sustained Channi to post upon, Jakhar was among the front runners after the release of Veteran leader Amarinder Singh as head of state minister.
