Gurdapas: BSF on Wednesday confiscated around 5kg RDX, pistol, material making bomb and Indian currency Rs 1 lakh, among others, dropped by drones that flew to the Indian region of Pakistan.
BSF Deputy General Inspector, Gurdaspur Sector, Prabhakar Joshi said the forces patrolled along the border who observed the movement of unmanned flying vehicles near Panjgrain Post Border.
“The drone movement was twice around 12:50 a.m.
when the troops opened fire on drones, they flew back to Pakistan,” he said.
The area was shaved and the search was done in the village of Ghaggar and Singhoke with the help of a dog sniffer, he said.
The search team found two yellow wooden packages, lying at a distance of about 20m and embedded in wet soil.
When opened, the packages have around 4.75 kg RDX, six electronic detonators, Chinese guns, two magazines with 22 bullets, timer devices, cable explodes (cordtex cables), splliners, nylon cells, plastic pipes, packing materials and eyes Indian money Rs 1 lakh, he said.
