New Delhi: Terrorism is the most serious threat to peace and international security and support for each Action Terror is a crime against humanity, Defense Minister Rajnath Singh said on Wednesday at the Konpidation of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) in Dushanbe.
He reaffirmed the determination of India to fight terrorism in all forms and manifestations and said peace and prosperity could not coexist with terrorism, in his remarks seen as directed at Pakistan.
“Peace and prosperity cannot coexist with terrorism.
Terrorism is the most serious threat to peace and international security,” said Singh in the presence of Chinese Defense Minister, Russia and other SCO member countries.
“Every action of terror and support for such actions, including cross-border terrorism, which is done by anyone, anywhere and for any motive, is a crime against humanity.
India reaffirms its determination to fight terrorism in all its forms and manifestations,” he said.
Singh said India agreed to high priority in “trust consolidation” in the security domain in the SCO and strengthen bonding with bilateral grouping partners based on equality, mutual respect and understand.
“Today’s challenge is not just one concept and norm, but both of their sincere practices.
The world’s leading voices must be an example in everything,” he said without describing.
He said India was committed to his determination to work in the SCO framework because it helped create and maintain a peaceful, safe and stable area.
“India also reaffirms readiness to partner with fellow SCO member countries to develop joint institutional capacity that respects national sensitivity individuals and has not resulted in the spirit of cooperation to create contacts and connectivity between people, society, and countries,” he said.
Singh said the location of India’s strategic geo made him a “Eurasian land power” and a stakeholder in the Indo-Pacific.
“Therefore, our intentions and aspirations are focused on the prosperity and development of the entire region.
We confirm this intention through our national security and growth policy for all in this region, commonly known as the ‘Sagar’ acronym,” he said.
“Security and stability are the most important components to create a conducive environment for the growth and economic development of our respective regions and countries,” he added.
Singh said the SCO nations both covered almost half of the human population and covered around three fifths of the Eurasian continent in terms of geographical expanse.
“Therefore we have collective bets to create safe, safe and stable areas that can contribute to the progress and increase in the human development index of our people and generations that will follow,” he said.
“In the same spirit of India, it helps people in Afghanistan, who face violence and destruction for decades.
So far India completes 500 projects in Afghanistan and continues with some more with the assistance of US Dollar Development 3 billion,” he added.
SCO, seen as balancing to NATO, is an economic block and eight member security and has emerged as one of the largest transregional international organizations.
India and Pakistan became a permanent member in 2017.
SCO was founded at a summit in Shanghai in 2001 by the President of Russia, China, Kyrgyzistan Republic, Kazakhstan, Tajikistan and Uzbekistan.
India has shown sharp interest in deepening its security related cooperation with the SCO and its regional anti-terrorism (mouse), which specifically deals with problems related to security and defense.
India was made by an observer at SCO in 2005 and generally participated in the Minister of Grouping Meeting, which focused primarily on security and economic cooperation in the Eurasian region.
