New Delhi: The Supreme Court on Tuesday observed that Manipur governor could not delay decisions about the recommendations carried out by the General Election Commission on the disqualification of 12 MLA BJP about the problem allegedly holding the office.
Senior Advocate of Kapil Sibal, appeared for the MLA DD Thaiii Congress, in a row before the judiciary of L Nageswara Rao, BV Gavai and BV Nagaratha that constitutional authorities cannot delay decisions, and emphasize that only one month remaining in expiration.
The term and everything will end after a month.
Senior Advocate Rajeev Dhavan, emerged for the General Election Commission, said the poll panel had completed his opinion in January and it binded the governor.
Approved with Sibal’s dispute, the bench said the governor could not delay making decisions in this matter and observing that the APEX court in other cases has encouraged the governors in sequence.
The court issued a notification to the Secretary of the Governor at a request that tried to record the decision and scheduled the problem to hear on November 11.
The APEX court heard the petition directly by Thaiisii, looking for the disqualification of 12 BJP MLA.
The request showed that this MLA held the position of parliamentary secretary which amounted to the profit office.
