Mumbai: Maharashtra witnessed a small surge in Covid cases, with districts such as Ahmednagar and Satara, each of which has 1,000 cases.
New cases every day in 6,686 on Friday, leap more than two thousand since Monday, and the country recorded 158 fatalities.
However, for the fifth consecutive day, City’s Daily Caseload remained under 300.
On Friday, 284 cases were registered with four deaths.
The total Caseload Mumbai is now more than 7.4 lakh and the toll road reaches 15,979.
In the state, the appropriate number is 63.8 lakh and 1.3 lakh.
The average number of cases in the first week of August in the city is more than 300, with calculations from August 1 to 8 add up to 2,508.
But in five days after, the number was 1.307.
Toll also fell from 62 between August 1 and 8, up to 28 in the last five days.
“The case is very low, with many empty beds,” said a doctor from a private hospital that continued to have 30 covid beds.
BMC updates show only 3,137 active Covid cases at this time.
State government officials say with large easing restrictions from Sunday, the district has been asked to ensure the right testing and tracking.
“We have asked the district authority to ensure there are implementations of all Covid norms, such as using masks and avoiding the crowd,” said an official.
Health and civil officials have been asked to ensure all guidelines issued by the state are followed by companies that have been relieved, he added.
