Imphal: Janata Dal United (JDU) National President of Rajiv Ranjan Aka Lalan Singh arrived at Imphal on January 27 to discuss the issuance of party tickets and limestone strategies for the next Manipur Assembly poll.
The Bihar-Centric Party, which deployed around 20 candidates on the Hill and the Valley of Manipur, will do it alone without entering the pre-polling alliance, even when several ticket aspirants have begun to campaign in the valley district.
“Our national president Rajiv Ranjan Ji will arrive on January 27 and the Chalk Out strategy for assembly polls February 27 and come,” President Manipur Unit JD (U) and former Minister of Hangkhanpao Taithul told reporters on Friday afternoon.
During his Manipur Bunyah, Ranjan will lead a series of meetings to discuss a group of agendas related to polls, including the selection of candidates, canvassing and the whole-wise equation in all seats where JD (U) fights.
Hangkhanpao said the top leader of the party and the Head of Bihar Minister Nitish Kumar and other star campaigners could also come to the election demonstration later.
“As a partner of NDA, including BJP, has closed the door, we will do it yourself without getting into the pre-polling alliance with them.
We have not yet decided on the alliance after the poll.
However, it will be discussed thinly with our national party president,” Hangkhanpao said.
“From around 20 candidates that we are advanced, around 15/16 candidates will fight in the valley district and 4/5 in the Bukit district,” added Hangkhanpao who fought from Singhat.
