Surat airport Seeing steady Growth of passengers

Surat: Together With the next wave of this pandemic being included, the state government has begun giving aid in constraints following that, Surat airport has been seeing a continuous gain in the amount of passengers following two weeks.
For the last two times, a daily footfall of over 1,000 passengers has been reported by the airport.
On Monday, 14 flights worked, also 1,187 passengers went through Surat airportwhile Sunday 1,030 went through 10 flights.
Airport officials stated that in the last couple of days there’s been a constant rise as the amount of Covid instances in Surat are diminishing as well as the people that are vaccinated are preferring to traveling.
Back in February, 97,000 individuals travelled from the airport whilst in the very first week of March, one day packed with 4,000 passengers had been listed.
But, there has been a surprising fall after the second week of March along with the downward trend continued even in April and May.
There was a day after no flights took off or landed in Surat and also there were days when just eight passengers went to a flight out of Delhi.
“We’re seeing this rising trend and we’re also in discussions with all the airlines to launch new flights in Surat,” said Aman Saini, Surat airport manager.
