Prasagraj: The surge in the transmission rate of the Covid-19 case continued, with the city of Sangam reported a total of 568 positive cases for Coronavirus Novel infection, in the last eight days (January 1-8).
At present, the number of active cases is 477 and 398 of them have been given permission for house isolation.
The city also reported one death, while nine patients underwent treatment at Ward SRN Covid Hospital.
The Ministry of Health numbers revealed that the surge in Covid cases was reported in the Prayangagaj district of January 5 when reporting 136 cases in one day.
However, the highest case graph rose to 163 cases on Saturday itself.
Data claims that the city on January 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6 and 7 reported 16, 19, 14.31, 136.70, and 118 cases respectively.

Rishi Sahai told Toi that the Covid Level One hospital with 60 bed facilities is currently active in Kotawa Banin while another hospital with a 100 beds will be established by Unani Hospital in 48 hours.
He added that asymptomatic patients would be quiet under observations at Kotawa Bani and Unani Hospital, while symptoms and patients with co-morbidity would be hospitalized in SRN and buy.
However, Sahai said about 75 percent of a total of 568 patients were found without symptoms, while 20 percent had mild symptoms.
