New Delhi: After a sharp and persistent increase in covid cases everyday in Kerala, the center has sent a high-level team to the southern state to support the effective public health intervention to contain spread infections.
Kerala was recorded on Thursday more than 22,000 new cases for the second day in a row.
The state with an active case load of 1.54 lakh contributed 37.1% of the total active case, with a growth rate of 1.41 percent in the past seven days.
The state also reports 12.93% high forward), while six districts have more than 10% weekly ponytitives.
The central source said Kerala, in mid-May 2021 reported a height of more than 43,000 new cases a day and this began to decline there in the first week of June.
But from the third June of the week to date, new cases of daily increased gradually and consistent with Kerala recently reported more than 22,000 new cases in a day.
This is more than 50% of the peak witnessed by Kerala in mid-May.
The Ministry of Health is worried that since June the first week, Kerala also reported the high number of Covid deaths everyday.
In the first week, new covid deaths every day are 227 and remain more than 150 deaths a day.
Of the 4,00,000 active active cases in India, 1.5 lakh are in Kerala alone.
This center has also warned the increasing state of the number of cases and suggested strict detention steps along with compliance with physical distance and norms that fit other covid, said an official.
The team sent to the state was led by Dr.
S K Singh, director, the National Disease Control Center (NCDC), one of the top countries experts in monitoring public health.
