Surge Covid: CBSE Schools can postpone internal exams until February 15

Nagpur: When schools throughout Maharashtra have been ordered to close for physical classes, academics are worried about students X and XII whose council exams are less than two months.
There are also worries for how certain internal exams will be carried out if the school remains closed.
The Principal of the Multi-Branch CBSE said, “We need to do a practical exam, after the Board told the date, and for that students must be called on campus.
Also several schools are in the process of carrying out the internal exams that can now be used.” The main problem is worried about academics It is that if this internal examination sign must be counted as part of the final board sign, the closing of the school is currently a barrier.
“Doing a written exam in offline mode ensures full transparency, so it will be much better if we can continue this exam,” said the principal.
But certain clauses in the guidelines issued by the state government have created ambiguity among schools.
The guidelines say exceptions will be given for “activities needed to do by various educational councils for Standard X and XII students”.
A school trustee said, “Activities can mean anything, so unless specifically prohibited by the council means that we can continue the internal exam.
The only thing that is prohibited is a physical class teaching and it’s a different thing.
That’s my interpretation, up At least something specific comes from the government.
“Toi spoke to several principals and the majority felt that the best was to wait until February 15, that date through which the current guidelines apply.
“CBSE realizes that such limits are there, so I’m sure they will announce the appropriate practical exam date.
Also an internal exam can be done in online mode, if the school wants,” said a senior principal.
Other principals say that no school must enter panic mode and call students for the exam.
“Closure order for all states, so it doesn’t as if Nagpur is behind the schedule and Mumbai schools are competing forward.
Whatever happens will be something collectively done.
The problem is that if students test positively then everyone will Blame us, so it’s best to avoid confrontation about it, “said the principal.
