Mangaluru / Udupi: Coastal District recorded 638 fresh Covid-19 cases, including 298 cases in Dakshina Kannada and 340 in Udupi, on Sundays.
Dakshina Kannada reported 298 fresh Covid-19 cases, with a 2.8% testing level, and district active cases increased from 994 on Saturday to 1,267 on Sunday.
One more fatality increases the calculation of death of Dakshina Kannada to 1,705.
The Ministry of Health identified one cluster Covid again from 12 cases, in the dormitory of a private medical college in Mangaluru Taluk.
According to officials, they were all the main contacts of those who tested the previous virus positive.
With 340 new cases, the active case in Udupi increased from 708 to 1,023 on Sunday.
While the district has recorded TPR 3.9%, in the taluk udupi, the tariff is 4.8%.
