Surprise, Surprise: Euro Becomes Life

Surprise, Surprise: Euro Becomes Life

It will be too sure to declare that Monday, June 28, 2021, is the biggest day of football tournaments in history.
Over the past 90 years, however, there will be days that have brought a bigger torrent than the drama dropping the jaw.
But none of them jumped to mind immediately.
A year late, the range was reduced and the atmosphere of his carnival was watered, the 2020 Euro had beats quite well until Monday.
The group’s phase, it is always slow burns, it has been illuminated by Italian adventures and tremendous courage of Denmark, by Spanish neurosis and Dutch energy.
There are many goals – on such a clip that the tournament will have more in the first few weeks than Euro 2016 which crosses a month – and many are spectacular too: Vision of Patrik Schick, Discovery of Wound View, Cristiano Ronaldo who does not maintain brilliance.
On the 1st day of the knockout round – a day that felt like a long past but, in fact, Saturday – Denmark swept through Wales, and Italy went up to Austria.
On days 2, the Czech Republic shocked the Dutch in the first real surprise of Euro 2020, and Belgium defeated Portugal in the first consequential meeting of the tournament.
What happens later, on day 3, can be presented as a natural extension of all that, as if the tournament has built this, in the same way as Shakespeare’s work is a natural extension of the ledger in accounting in the city.
What happened followed – 14 goals, two extra-time games, one penalty penalty, one extraordinary favorite (France) endangered, saved and then removed on the last kick of the day – sometimes against trust.
