Hyderabad: In an effort to protect the land of government from soil sharks, the Telangana High Court on Wednesday directing the country to survey all areas of the land in all districts in all districts.
HC said the details of the survey must be submitted to sub-registrants and higher authorities in the registration department to ensure that government land was not illegally registered by the private sector.
The court direction came during the hearing of pills by the Chairman of the Chief Justice of Hima Kohli and Justice B Vijaysen Reddy.
PIL by Chittapuram Raju from Pragnapur in the Medak District accused income officials not to take any action despite complaints about individuals illegally have the government and assigned to the poor.
The bench expanded the scope of the petition and directed collectors from all 33 districts in the state to study these examples.
“Better surveys of all areas in your district and identify government land parcels.
Maintain the property list,” said the bench while telling the collectors to the geo-tag of each government’s identified property.
“The sub-registrar is directed not to register any sales deed in connection with such government land in the example of the private sector.
If in doubt, the necessary clarification must be sought from the district collector’s office before taking steps to register sales,” Bench said.
The High Court looks for written statements from collectors within two months and warns serious consequences if the court order is not fully implemented.
