Coimbatore: The second phase of the bird survey synchronized, carried out by the Ministry of Forestry on 26 wetlands in the Coimbatore and 11 wetlands in the Pollachi division on Sunday, recorded 125 species of birds.
Like 57 volunteers from Coimbatore Nature Society (CNS) and the World Wildlife Fund-India, led by 30 forest staff, conducted a survey.
They found duck species such as goose-headed bars, North Shovel, North Pintail, lower whistle duck, pygmy cotton goose, duck spots, two plovers species Pacific Golden Plover and ring rings and four species of Sandpipers Marsh, Wood, Green and Sandpiper General.
They also found a large number of warehouse shows, swallowing red-spring, whickered tones and pay Weavers.
