Surveys in Delhi to identify orphans during Covid

New Delhi: The Delhi Department of Women and Children’s Development Department will conduct a survey to identify children who are orphaned Pandemi Covid-19, an official said on Friday.
A senior government official said that the department has appointed 20 welfare officers who will conduct surveys in various children’s homes, institutions and district offices in the city.
The appointed officials have been attached to the Child Welfare Committee and the District Child Protection Unit to conduct surveys on July 20.
The Delhi government has planned to provide compensation of Rs 2,500 per month to children who lose their parents to Covid-19.
According to previous reports of the Delhi Commission for the protection of children’s rights (DCPCR), more than 2,000 children in Delhi have lost their one or both parents because of the Covid-19 pandemic, where 67 of them lost their parents, since the plague of pandemic on Last March.
A total of 651 children lost their mother and 1,311 children lost their father to infection, according to the previous Report DCPCR.
Chairman of the Minister of Arvind Kejriwal on May 14 said the government would bear the costs of education and parenting of Piandemi orphans.
