New Delhi: Olympic Medal Twice Sushil Kumar, nested in Tihar prison in connection with the Chhatrasal Brawl Stadium, has urged the prison authorities to give him a television to be updated on wrestling matches, officials said on Sundays.
Kumar was arrested along with Co-Disydang Ajay Kumar on May 23 from the Mundka area of Outer Delhi.
He and his colleagues allegedly attacked Sagar Dhankar’s wrestlers and two of his friends Sonu and Amit Kumar on the night of Intervention 4 and May 5 above the property dispute.
Dhankar, 23, surrendered to injury later.
A senior prison official said Kumar had submitted a request through his advocate.
He has asked for a television set so he will get an update about the wrestling match, the official said.
Previously, a Delhi court extended Yudicial Kumar resistance until July 9.
He had shifted to Tihar Jail number 2 from Mandoli prison where he had previously nested.
The police said 12 were accused, including Kumar, so far had been arrested in connection with the case of the Chhatrasal Brawl Stadium.
The police claimed that Kumar was the “main striker and mastermind” of the murder and said that there was an electronic evidence where he and his colleagues could be seen defeating Dhankar.
