Amravati: A 22-year-old suspect in the case of kidnapping and rape of a little girl ended her life in the locking of the Rajapeth police station on Thursday morning.
The suspect, was identified as Sagar Shripad Tharakarare, a resident of Khatan Village in Ashti Tehsil district of Wardha, using his shirt to hang to death in the key-up.
Violations have been registered at the Frezerpura police station and he was returned to police custody until August 20.
But when the Frezerpura police station did not have locking facilities.
, He was placed in the Rajapeth Lock-Up Police Station.
The Department of Crime Investigation (CID) Amogh Gavkar and Deepti Brahmane rushed to place.
Cid is investigating further.
Sub-division judge Udaysingh Rajput also visited the place.
