Suspension international aviation scheduled extended to August-end

New Delhi: The government has expanded the suspension of international flights scheduled until 31 August 2021.
However, Vande Bharat’s mission and other flights under air bubbles will continue to operate and people meet the requirements in accordance with the government’s norms can fly to and from India.
International flights scheduled to be suspended on March 23, 2020, and the severity of the pandemic means that even after 17 months there were no signs of continuing the same at any time in a hurry.
The Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) issued a report on Friday expanding the suspension of international commercial passenger services scheduled to / from India until 11.59 a.m.
(India time) on August 31, 2021.
“This restriction does not apply to all international cargo operations and flights specifically approved by DGCA, “said Ordo.
It adds to that “international scheduled flights may be permitted on routes chosen by competent authorities based on case cases.” In the past year, India has operated Vande Bharat mission flights to many places and has so far formed air bubbles with several countries.
During the second covid disaster surge started mid-April, around 20 countries had imposed restrictions such as suspension flights from India or more stringent entry norms for travelers.
Now, the second wave is receding, some like Switzerland, France, Germany, Maldives and Qatar begins to raise limits.
