Suu Kyi Myanmar Court took toll on her health: lawyer

Yangon: Myanmar leader who was overthrown in Health Aung San Suu Kyi had suffered from his frequent appearance before the court run by a military junta who overthrew his government, his lawyer said Monday.
Suu Kyi conducted a trial in June, four months after she was detained in the coup that spread the country into chaos.
The 76-year-old child faced a raft of allegations, from the incitement to import Walkie-Talkies illegally, which could see it imprisoned for decades.
He applied for an audience to take place every two weeks instead of every week “with his health reasons,” his lawyer Khin Maung Zaw after his last court appearance.
After the recent corruption costs were taken in his last week, the Nobel winner must now appear at most working days in the courtroom in the capital built by the Naypyidaw military.
The trial had left Suu Kyi felt “tense”, said Khin Maung Zaw, without offering further details.
He added that the judge would make a decision at his request next week.
Eight months since the coup, clashes between Junta forces and the anti-coup dissenders have increased, with increasingly bloody attacks and retaliation.
Diplomatic efforts to resolve the crisis, pioneered by the Association of Southeast Asian (ASEAN), has failed to make progress.
Minister of Foreign Affairs Brunei Erywan Yusof, who was chosen as a regional block messenger in August after a long fight, has called for full access to all parties when he visited.
But last week a spokesman Junta told AFP, it was impossible for him to be allowed to meet Suu Kyi.
Security forces have killed more than 1,100 civilians since the coup, according to the local monitoring group.
