Tokyo: Swimmer Suyash Jadhav will miss the 200 M individual Medley SM7 program at the Paralympic Olympics here because he suffered a cold and sick sore throat.
Chef de Mission Gursharan The Indian Singh contingent on Thursday said Jadhav was slightly under the weather and the doctor advised him not to compete on Friday.
The Covid-19 test report, however, is negative.
“Jadhav suffered sore throats and pain.
The doctor said he had to rest.
So we decided he would not take part tomorrow.
But he would be fine for two other events,” said Singh Pti.
“The Covid-19 report is negative,” he added.
Jadhav is 27 years old, whose two hands are amputated under the elbow at the age of 11 due to electric shock, will compete in two other events of 100m SB7’s breasts at 1 and 50m butterfly S7 on 3.
