SVNIT rating among the top 50 institutions

Surat: Sardar Vallabhbhai National Institute of Technology (SVNIT) increases its ranking in the National Institutional Framework (NIRF) even in the midst of a pandemic condition.
The rating was announced by the Ministry of Education Union on Thursday.
SVNIT climbed seven slots higher to reach the 47th position this time from the 54th place among last year’s state engineering institutions.
With this, the Institute has also made its place among 50 top engineering institutions in this country.
The Institute has increased in the overall ranking of all types of higher education institutions as well as last year.
Now placed in the position of 98, up from the rank 120 before in the overall rank among all universities and the institute.
It should be noted that the Institute has passed the phase of the struggle even before Covid-19 after stopping receiving annual grants from the central government because of the big difference in his account.
However, regardless of the key to the global pandemic, this institute remains online and do everything, including campus placement, remotely.
“There are various parameters to assess the performance of the Institute and Institute have improved in different areas.
We are trying to increase further rankings,” said S R Gandhi, Director, Svnit.
This institution recently completed the recruitment of teaching staff and now efforts were made to complete non-teaching staff recruitment.
“Because Covid, the process is delayed.
If our recruitment for non-teaching staff is finished in time our performance will increase further,” Gandhi added.
Considering the importance of NIRF, many institutions employ private institutions that help them to submit applications.
SVNIT authorities also consider the option to hire professional agents for the work.
However, it hasn’t finished.
