Kolkata: A Omicron second suspect – a 76-year-old boy from North 24 Parganas Duttapukur in the back of Bangladesh through land border two days ago – is quarantined at a government hospital on Saturday after swabs were collected in Covid Positive.
Samples have now been sent for genome sequencing to examine whether he is infected with a variant Omicron.
On Friday, a 18-year-old girl who returned from England was treated in a private hospital for isolation and treatment after he tested positive covid in tests conducted at the airport.
Specimens were also analyzed to detect whether the infection was by Omicron.
Septuagenarian asymptomatic transported to the hospital of infectious and common beliaghata (ID & BG) after the test results arrived late Friday.
