Chandigarh: “City Beautiful” from 16th place last year to 66 of 4,320 cities approved in Swachh Survekshan 2021 rankings announced by the Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs on Saturday, the poorest show from the beginning of the annual cleanliness survey in Indonesia 2016.
In the category The population above 10 lakh, Chandigarh was placed 16, a drop of eight places from last year.
The city manages 4.277.29 marks at 6,000, gets the lowest certification score in three parameters – namely 900 of 1,800.
The other is the progress of the service level (2,004.48 of 2,400 marks) and the vote score of citizens (1,372.81 of 1,800 mark) Mayor Ravi Kant Sharma said the assessment began from 1 to 31 March.
Progress of the level of service (25 indicators) consists of waste separation and collection, processing and disposal of sustainable waste and sanitation; Certification (two indicators) based on garbage-free city star rating (GFC) and ODF ++ and water plus parameters for certification.
In addition, there is a major parameter of the residents’ voice (25 indicators) which consist of feedback, involvement and experience, self-service, innovation and best practices, the mayor said.
