Swachh Survekshan: Mumbai ranks 37 but the boss of innovation

Mumbai: Even when Mumbai’s ranking slipped to 37 in Swachh Survekshan 2021 of 35 in the city national sanitation survey last year, he won awards for the best Mega City in innovation and best practices.
In MMR, with comparison, Thane maintained 14th place last year while Navi Mumbai slipped rank to fourth rank from one third in 2020.

A total of 10 cities in the state have been displayed in a list other than Navi Mumbai, Thane and Mumbai.
Pune, for example, has a 5th place, Aurangabad 22, Nagpur 23, Kalyan-Dombivli 25, Vasai-Virar 29, Nashik 17, Pimpri-Chinchwad 19.
State, in an official statement, said proud to have 40% of the award.
While Pune has ranked 5th among cities with 10 lakh-plus populations, it is 8 among those who have 1 lakh-plus.
Mumbai has been ranked 10th in the 2016 Swachh ranking.
High-ranking citizens said their stable rating was caused by increasing public toilets and good public feedback and maintenance of solid waste.
However, some residents disagree.
