Shimla: Popular tourist destinations and the capital of Himachal Pradesh have dropped 37th place in the latest Swachh Survekshan (cleanliness survey) to slide from 65 to 102 despite spending crores rupees on sanitation.
Two vehicles to sweep mechanically because of the city of Rs 1.5 Crore, while gathering residents’ responses took another 50 lakh Rs.
This year, 4,320 cities participated in the survey compared to 4,242 years ago.
The falling rating is said because of the lack of vote of citizens and feedback, coupled with an inappropriate waste management system.
Shimla secured 927.24 marking 1,800 in the vote of the residents and feedback, down from last year’s score 1049.52.
The total score is 1,624 of 2,400 in the service level program, in addition to 700 of 1,800 above the garbage certificate parameters and ODF Plus.
The state capital only ranked one star of five for trash-free cities in the last two categories.
This means that the city needs a better garbage disposal system.
The city collected only 3,251 values from 6,000 values in three main components, while last year’s score was 2,800 of 5,000.
The overall rating of the country was enhanced by one, becoming the fifth of the sixth.
Himachal Pradesh scored 1,050 points among countries with fewer than 15,000 local agencies.
The Minister of Urban Development Suresh Bhardwah congratulated the countries for this and said: “Many cities have performed better than last year.
Technology and modern innovation will help us improve performance.”
