Faraz Arif Ansari ‘Sheer Qorma’ starring Swara Bhasker, Divya Dutta and Shabana Azmi have traveled the world collecting praise from all the quarters this year.
In what can be claimed to be another feather in a hat, Swara has now pocketed ‘the best actress in the award of supporting roles at Soho London International Independent Film Festival 2021.

Sharing his reaction to the same, Swara who was passionate and happy to say, “I am very happy and honored to win the best supporting actress at the Soho International Film Festival in London for ‘Sheer Qorma’; which is a film that is very close to my heart.
When I reading scripts, I know that this is a film that is not only important for the problem raised but it is universal that way tells the story – in the end the love story – love two souls, but also the love of parents and children.
Sitara’s character is actually part Beautiful because of realizing gentle love and acceptance that the film communicates; but he also signifies unacceptable sadness and trauma that marks the experience of life so many strange people all over the world.
Faraz has managed to weave all these complex emotional experiences into Sitara’s character beautifully and I thank the jury because I thought I was A do justice for it.
I feel honored and humble.
