A MCG official said the team would ensure that the disposal of waste only occurred at the secondary collection points identified and only separated waste reach the official collection points.
“Those who are found to violate the norms will be punished by Challas RS 5,000 for the first example.
Punishment will be increased if there are repetitive violations and vehicles will also be confiscated,” the official added.
His instructions came during the meeting held by the MCG Commissioner Mukesh Kumar Ahuja on Tuesday to review preparations for future cleaning surveys.
Ahuja also directed officials to establish sanitation control rooms in sector 39 on October 23 to monitor the movement of all garbage collection vehicles.
The team will also ensure that public places, market areas, and trash cans are regularly cleaned and will also create awareness of the use of polythene bags.
Senior Sanitation Inspector Rishi Malik will be the overall accusation of these teams and will ensure strict compliance at the ground.
In addition, the MCG enforcement team has been directed to lift waste from all susceptible points of garbage in the city within three days and ensure the cleaning of all public places and the backway of the commercial area.
