Sweden, Estonia started a new probe from the 1994 Ferry Wreck

Stockholm: Two ships from Sweden and Estonia on Thursday left the port to start the initial survey for a new examination of the wreck of the MS Estonia ferry which sank in the Baltic Sea in 1994.
Ships, who sailed from Tallinn to Stockholm, down early morning 28 September 1994 .
There were only 137 survivors and 852 people killed in one of the worst maritime disasters of the 20th century.
After deciding not to save the wreck, Sweden, Estonia and Finland agreed in 1995 to point it as a final resting place and make it illegal to disturb the site.
But laws that prohibit dives have recently been amended to enable re-examination of the wreck after the documentary gives doubts about the findings of official investigations into the sinking.
The new probe is being carried out by an accident investigation authority in Sweden and Estonia.
Jonas Backstrand, chairman of an accident investigation at the Swedish Accident Investigation Authority (SHK), to the AFP of both ships involved in this study will leave the port on Thursday and meet near the site, which is in international waters, around midnight.
“The actual dive starts tomorrow,” he said.
After a preliminary examination, a larger survey will be carried out on the later date, which will be completed by the SHK in the spring of 2022.
The original request concluded that the disaster was caused by a boat door that was opened in a heavy sea, allowing water to spur to the deck of the car, and The countries involved are reluctant to re-examine this problem.
The victims and relatives of those who were killed had struggled for more than two decades for a fuller investigation.
