Bhubaneswar: Rath Yatra, which began on July 12, ended on Friday with the gods back on the Bejeweled platform (Ratna Singhasana) in the 12th century temple, marking Niladri Bije.
As scheduled, the mahajan servants from the temple first took the idols of Rama and Krushna from Chariot Taladhwaja and the idol of Mohan Mohan from Nandighosh Chariot into the temple in the ceremonial prayer procession.
Lord Sudarshana, Divine Weapon Lord Jagannath, is the next taken from Devidalana Chariot to the temple.
Then, the gods of Brother Balabhadra, Subhadra and Jagannath were taken in the temple.
“From Rath Yatra to Niladri Bije, all rituals are done and completed before the schedule is smooth and disciplined.
Credit is given to the servants,” said Krishhan Kumar, Head of Administrator Shree Jagannath Temple Administration.
The District Administration and Puri Policy sighed a sigh of relief when the days went peacefully and the ritual was carried out by ensuring Covid safety norms.
“It was a big challenge to ensure strict compliance with the Covid protocol, upheld the curfew during the festival and distance the worshipers from the Grand Road and Puri.
We are pleased that the worshipers, especially the residents of Puri, extends wholehearted cooperation,” said Collector Puri Samarth Verma Regency.
“We will not succeed without the support and cooperation of worshipers and locals from Puri.
Our personnel also provide the best to make Rath Yatra peace,” Puri SP Kanwar Vishal Singh.
