Swelling of the Vashisht River stopped the train, 6,000 stranded on the KRL route

Margao: Close with 6,000 passengers traveling by long-range trains stranded at various stations on the Railway Railroad on Thursday following the suspension of Indian train services in the Ratnagiri Maharashtra district after the Vashisthi River overflowed due to the unrelenting rain since Wednesday.
At least 12 trains are arranged due to service interruptions on the route, while some others canceled, diverted, or rescheduled, said KONKAN official Railway Corporation Ltd.
(KRCL).
Set the train means stop them at one of the train stations on a trip to the normalized traffic rail.
Deputy KRCL General Manager (PR), Baban Ghatge, said the water level on the VashishiTi River Bridge between Chiplun and KAM stations has increased above the level of danger, and that the ferry level near the bridge is also simplified.
Train services are suspended while remembering passenger safety, he said.
“Once the low tease, the train that has been arranged at various stations will continue the next trip,” he said.
Konkan train officials said all affected trains had been stopped in a safe location and that passengers were stranded treated.
“We have made all the settings to provide it with food, tea, water and drinks at the train station,” said a senior official Konkan Railway.
Railroad officials have, with rough estimates, marking the number of passengers who are maroon to nearly 6,000.
“The amount will be far more in normal times.
The train that is currently plying only at a capacity of 60%,” said an official.
01152 Madgaon-Mumbai CSMSMT Janshatabdi Thursday and 02120 Karmali-Mumbai CSMT Tejas Special Friday has been canceled, press releases by the train.
The train bound by the affected Goa included Mumbai CSMT-Karmali Tejas specifically stopped at Roha Station and Rake was brought back to Mumbai CSMT.
Mumbai CSMT-Madgaon Janshatabdi is arranged at Khed Train Station, and Mumbai CSMT -Madgaon Special Daily at Mangaon Station.
Among the affected trains departing from Goa is Madgaon-Mumbai CSMT Mandovi arranged in Kankavali.
Train services were also affected because of landslides between the Kasara-Kalyan section of the railroad center on Thursday morning.
Sources said heavy rain caused flooding, washing traces, boulder stones and landslides in the region of Kasara Ghat.
The train line sank at the Umbermali station near Kasara, and there was a boulder stone in the Ghat.
Railroad officials say that some train services are suspended, some are diverted along alternative routes.
The 02618 H Nizamuddin-Ernakulam Daily Special was transferred through MANMAD JN, Daund Chord Line, Pune JN, Miraj Jn, Londa Jn and Madgaon Jn.
The restoration work is taking place on a war footing to clean the footsteps of large stones, they said.
Coastal Conkan, parts of Mumbai Metropolitan, Vidarbha and several districts in Maharashtra Barat watched flooding on Thursday following heavy rain since Wednesday.
