Melbourne: Sydney will be reopened after months in locking, officials said on Sunday, with business reading themselves to welcome residents who are fully vaccinated Monday.
New South Wales, the most populous country of Australia, reported 477 new Coronavirus cases and six deaths on Sundays, with an outbreak that has maintained 5 million people at Capital Sydney in locking for 100 days.
But because the country has met a threshold of 70% of its people fully vaccinated, New South Wales is ready to ease some restrictions and reopen a lot of business, the Perrottet Dominier Premier State said.
“It’s a big day for our country, and to everyone throughout New South Wales: You have got it,” Perrottet said.
“It’s been a hundred days of blood, sweat, no beer, but we’ve got it back tomorrow.” When asked what would be the first thing he did on Monday, said Perrottet, “I will get a haircut.” Local media reports that hair and beauty salons have been fully booked for weeks to come.
“We have stretched their days and have opened extra time in their diary so we can order our clients as soon as possible,” Joseph Hkeik, who runs several Saints leather clinics in Sydney to Sydney Morning Herald.
