A total of 1,071 Covid-19 cases are currently in hospitals, with 177 people in intensive care (ICU), 67 of them require ventilation.
Officials said they had a fourfold ICU bed to around 2,000 in the state early last year to handle pandemics.
The country detected 1,281 new cases on Monday, most of them in Sydney, down from 1,485 the day before.
The five new deaths were recorded.
Victoria state, which includes Melbourne, reported 246 new cases on Monday, the biggest daily increase this year.
Apart from the recent outbreak, the number of Australian Coronavirus remains relatively low around 63,000 cases and 1,044 deaths.
Rushofficials Vaccines tried to accelerate the launch of vaccines to help minimize death and hospitalization with the government promising freedom of movement once 70-80% of the population over 16 years vaccinated.
More than 38% of Australian adult populations have been fully vaccinated, with the country, it is expected to reach 70% in early November based on current levels.
Last week, Australia signed vaccine transactions with England and Singapore with a total of around 4.5 million doses of Pfizer-Bionontech vaccines, doubled this month’s supply.
Nearly half a million doses, shipments delivery, arrived last night.
“There will be a set of other flights in a few days, but we will get millions of four million every week for the next four weeks,” Lieutenant General John Frewen, Head of Taskcaster, told ABC broadcasters.
Under the Swap Vaccine offer, Australia will restore the number of Pfizer-Bontech vaccines to England and Singapore later this year.
Frewen said one million Dosage Moderna will also reach Australia in “a week or more”, becoming the third vaccine to join the launch with Pfizer and AstraZeneca’s shot.
