Geneva: Syria is still unsafe for the return of the refugees a decade after the conflict began, the US war crimes investigator said on Tuesday, documenting violence and violations of deterioration, including arbitrary detention by government forces.
The United Nations Investigation Commission on Syria said the overall situation was increasingly gloomy, noting hostility in several regions in a broken country, the economy collapsed, drying the river basis and an increase in attacks by militants of the Islamic State.
“A decade of entry, the parties in the conflict continued to commit war crimes and war crimes against humanity and violate Syrian basic human rights,” said Chairman of the Commission, Paulo Pinheiro said, releasing the 24th report.
