New Delhi: While the ICC T20 World Cup is being held in Oman and UAE from October 17, hosting rights with the control board for Cricket in India (BCCI).
And BCCI along with the Emirates Cricket Board (ECB) has asked permission to have a capacity crowd at Dubai International Stadium on the final night – November 14.
Speaking to Ani, the source in knowing the development of the board of India wanted to have 25,000 people watching the final of the exhibition and permits for the same thing was sought from the UAE Authority.
“BCCI and ECB want to have a crowd of capacity for the final.
It will be an electrical atmosphere if permission for the same thing is remembered to keep all protocols in mind.
The board has asked permission from the authorities,” said the source.
The IPL has seen the return of fans in the UAE with the eyes on the Covid-19 protocol.
According to the rules – also shared with eight franchises – fans going to the Dubai International Cricket Stadium do not need to get a 48 hour PCR test before entering the stands, but will require evidence of double Covid-19 vaccination.
Things are a little different in Sharjah when until the age of fans allows to enter the stadium.
The minimum age needed to enter the Cricket Sharjah Stadium is 16+ years.
While vaccination reports are needed, fans also need to bring the results of PCR tests that apply to no more than 48 hours before entering the venue.
The green status on the Al Hosn application is a must for those who want to watch the match.
At the Sheikh Zayed stadium in Abu Dhabi, once again, fans above 16 must bring evidence of vaccination and the PCR test results that apply no more than 48 hours before entering the venue.
Those who are in the 12-15 age bracket do not require proof of vaccination but must bring a PCR test report.
Those who are under 12 years must be accompanied by adults who are above 21.
Return to the exhibition, while the Indian team will play its first match on October 24 against the Pakistani Arch-Rivals, the tournament will begin with a group B meeting about 1 host Oman and Papua New Guinea on October 17, with Scotland and Bangladesh, another team in Group B, collided in the night match.
The first semifinal will be held in Abu Dhabi on November 10 November 10.
The second semifinal will be held by Dubai on November 11.
Both semi-finals have backup days.
The Marquee Clash of the tournament will take place in Dubai on November 14, Sunday, with Monday acting as a reserve day for the final.
