Dubai: The Indian Cricket Team on Monday wore a black armband in their last T20 World Cup match against Namibia as a sign of respect for the famous coach Tarak Sinha who died last week.
Sinha cared for some of the best Indian Cricketers, including the current Wicketkeeper dough, Rishabh Pant, Shikhar Dhawan and Ashish Nehra.
“The Indian cricket team wore a black arm tire today to pay for them to Dronacharya Awardee and the respected coach Shri Shri Tarak Sinha, who sadly died on Saturday,” BCCI said in a statement.
Sinha died on Saturday after a prolonged disease.
He is 71 years old.
Sinha is a father’s figure at the famous Soneta Delhi club, which has produced some of the country’s best players who ruled domestic and international cricket.
His previous students were like Surinder Khanna, Manoj Prabhakar, the late Raman Lamba, Ajay Sharma, Atul Wassan and Sanjiv Sharma ruled Delhi Cricket and also played for India.
