BCCI will now work with ICC to complete the tournament schedule with the eyes of the remaining IPL this year, which precedes the cup.
The IPL was stopped in the middle of this summer in the middle of the destructive second wave.
The T20 World Cup is likely to begin in Oman in the third week of October, after the Final IPL, is scheduled to be in mid-October.
TimesviewIndia currently works better in front of Covid than a few months ago.
The number of cases decreases every day.
But with the country it is still a very far distance from being fully vaccinated, the third wave can never be ruled out.
This is a good decision by BCCI.
It’s better to be safe than regretting IPL plans and even considering completing IPL on October 10, that is Sunday.
The idea is to start the T20 World Cup within a week after the IPL is complete.
ICC and BCCI want to have a T20 WC final on November 14.
“The date is not complete.
Even if the tournament starts on IPL heels, it won’t be a lot of problems because the first 12 matches of the tournament will be played between eight teams as qualifications.
The match will be played in Oman,” said President BCCI SOURAT GANGULY to Tii, Monday.
The main foot of the T20 World Cup to be played between 12 teams – eight highest T20I teams and four that came from qualifications – will begin in the last week of October.
It will leave Indian players about 14 days between two tournaments as mandated in the recommendation of the Lodha Justice Committee.
‘The government has convinced support for tax exemptions for the T20 World Cup to UAE means that BCCI does not need to seek tax exemptions from the Indian government as requested by the ICC.
Ganguly tells the Toi that the union government workers strongly support the board when it comes to offering exceptions.
“The government has assured us that it will support us when it comes to tax exemptions.
The council came into constant with the government and it was decided that the safety of all the people involved in the tournament must be very important.
Everything else could come later.
Even the ICC and BCCI felt that Taking such risks in the conditions that apply in India is not feasible.
“Someone must remember the T20 World Cup in Australia last year postponed up to 2022 because Covid even when Australia recovered from a pandemic,” Ganguly said.
BCCI now doesn’t have to worry about Crore Rs 905 around US $ 120 million) which will disappear from the cash if it fails to get full tax exemptions from the government.
BCCI in board talks to have all IPL players available BCCI related to all other boards and believe that it will be able to have a strong field of outside players country in IPL.
The council tries to ensure that every player will look s After a very good after settings will be made by the Board.
With the remaining IPL scheduled to be played in September-October, there are reports that other boards may not allow their players to participate in the tournament.
