Chandrapur: The incident of killing humans in Doni forest under the range of Mul (Buffer) Tadoba Andhari Tiger Reserve (TATR) has taken a twist after the forest department booked the President of the Ulgulan Sanghatana and Vanchit Leader Aghadi Zode to supply the trap of tigers to hunter.
A violation under Section 9 Law of Margasatwa Protection, 1972, has been registered against Zode, said investigation officer.
One Kove Bharat from Doni Village was killed by tigers in the buffer forest close to the village on December 30.
After his body recovered the next day, the Forestry Department confirmed as a kill made by the RS25,000 tiger for Kin, however, the next day, the investigation revealed the presence of a tiger trap in the area where Kove was killed.
Foresters then ordered four people in this case and called them for an investigation.
Zode tribal leader along with his supporters went to Doni demanding the release of four.
He had alleged that the four was beaten mercilessly to get a statement of recognition that they were with Kove out to put the tiger trap in the forest and Kove was killed after tiger was charged to them.
Zode leads the villagers from Doni and Fulzari to SP Arvind Salve to tell their tribulation.
He also filed a criminal complaint against the foresters involved in alleged tribal youth beating.
Engineering by repetitive obstacles made by Zode, Chandrapur unit from the Association of Rangers Forest has met SP Salve and demands registration of violations of the zode under the implementation of the task.
While there was no such violation registered by the police, Mul (Buffer) Range Officer, went ahead to order zode because of his involvement with four accused in the case of Doni.
Zode has been charged with supplying traps to hunters accused of capturing and killing Tiger.
Zode expelled the allegations and was charged that the Ministry of Forestry increased with him because he explained their brutality and torture to innocent and Dalit tribes living in the forest.
He accused the Ministry of Forestry burdens up with false charges.
Tribal leaders have planned to protest march against the atrocities of TATR buffer officials on Wednesday, but call it deadly covid restrictions.
Zode presents two charges – Manoj Marape and Rupesh Naitam – before the media, who claimed they were brutally tortured by RFO naigamkar and his subordinates to force them to sign a blank page and give a statement before the camera supplied by Zode.
All cases were made and they had never met Zode before he saved them from inhuman torture by forest officials, said Marape and Naitam.
The ACF Yede investigation officer confirmed the registration of the case against the zode to supply the trap of hunting.
He said the violation was registered based on a written statement given by the defendant.
He claimed that Zode had been called to be questioned and his statement was recorded, but was not arrested.
“We are investigating this problem and have searched for Call Data Record (CDR) to verify whether there is a connection between the defendant and Zode,” he said.
