Tagged Greylag Goose attracts a lot for protected wetlands

Vadodara: While hundreds of Geese Greylag have come down at Wadlands Wadhwana in Dabhoi, one of which draws many bird lovers to Lake Spawling.
Greylag Goose with satellite tags has been seen on the lake that sees thousands of birds migrating in winter.

Devvratinh Mori’s orthology experts, who have photographed birds in Surendranagar, said that goose was marked in Mongolia.
The Mongolian conservation center that marks the goose makes tabs on their movements and locations.
The Mongolian conservation center is involved with international bird migration studies.
However, Upadhyay said that it was difficult to ascertain whether the goose was seen in Wadhwana was the same seen in Nal Sarovar and Surendranagar.
When asked why this geese flew away from Mongolia to Gujarat, Upadhyay said, “The country has a good amount of wetlands where these geese find ideal habitats.
Also, enough food is available for migratory birds regardless of the safe environment in Here.
