Kalyan: Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) was trapped and arrested senior revenue officers Deepak Aakde (45), posted as Kalyan Tahsildar, and Peon Manohar Harad (42) to demand and accept 1,2 lakh Rs bribes from the complainant in Kalyan.
They were arrested at Kalyan Tahsildar’s office on Monday.
The defendant has demanded bribery to give a trial verdict about objections to the land taken by a complainant construction company in Varap Village in Kalyan District Thane.
Acting on complaints, ACB Thane led by Inspector Santosh Shewale put a trap at the Kalyan Tahsildar office and arrested Harad Red while accepting 1,00,000 Rs bribes on behalf of Akade, and Rs 20,000 for himself and other staff of the Tahsildar office.
