Tailors’ assn looking for retirement benefits

Written by news2in

Thiruvananthapuram: A nature member of the tailor (Deed) said here on Monday that they will hold a hunger strike in front of the secretariat if the government fails to meet their needs.
But the organization canceled the strike planned on Wednesday morning because of Covid regulations.
Deed continued various demands, including workers’ welfare funds and other pension benefits.
The strike aims to solve problems such as discrimination.
Members show that a woman who receives a retirement of widows must make a submission that they do not need a widow pension if they have to receive tailor welfare pensions after the age of 60 years.
The association said that representatives of people receive double pensions and unfair to deny poor women adjust the same.
They also show issues about extermination.
Workers cannot complete the extermination process for the 2019-2020 period in most Akshaya centers in Kerala due to software problems.
The government has decided to provide retirement to people who retire in 2021.
But there are people who have retired between these periods.
The government has not noticed that retirement has not been paid to retirees during this period, the association said the cost of Rs is 30 lakh in four years.
The Board must also pay a large amount of money to workers and other office fees.
After updating the software is complete, other additional costs can be reduced.
“We have to cancel a hunger strike to take part in Covid regulations.
We have an appeal to the authorities.
If they are not ready to consider our needs, we will definitely advance with Hunger Strike,” said Secretary General of the State of Deed, Babu.
