Taipei: Taiwan Foreign Minister accused China on Saturday Want to “emulate” Taliban, say the island that Beijing claims as the Sovereign Chinese region does not want to submit to communism or crime against humanity.
The rapid fall of the Afghan government supported by the US has triggered a heat debate in Taiwan about whether they could suffer the same fate as China’s invasion, while government media in China said the fate of Kabul showed Taiwan could not trust Washington.
Writing on Twitter in response to the US State Department repeated a call for China to stop pressing the island, Foreign Minister Taiwan Joseph Wu revealed thanks to the United States to enforce the best wishes and interests of the people of Taiwan.
“They include democracy & freedom from communism, authoritarianism & crime against humanity,” Wu said.
“The Chinese dream imitates the Taliban, but let me blunt: we have will & means defending yourself,” Wu added, without describing.
There is no direct response from China, which the Taiwanese affairs office does not answer calls looking for comments outside working hours on Saturday.
China has tried to establish a relationship with the Taliban regardless of its own concern about the possibility of the effect on what Beijing saw as an extremist of Islam operating in Xinjiang China.
Afghanistan has become the latest problem with Taiwan and China has argued.
Taiwan complained to increase diplomatic and Chinese military pressure in recent months, including the Air Force and Navy exercise near the island, encouraging concern in Washington and other Western capitals.
Taiwan is Rambunctious democracy whose people indicate a little interest in being ruled by the China Autocratic.
Beijing has also been angry by US support for Taiwan even with the absence of formal diplomatic bonds between Washington and Taipei, including sales of US arms regularly.
