Thiruvananthapuram: Strict action must be taken against incidents relating to noccukoololi in the state, general education and the Minister of Labor V Sivankutty instructs officials.
The meeting of officials regarding Nokkukooli was held by the Minister here on Wednesday.
Meetings will be held in all districts by including Labor Department officials and union leaders and at the state level by the minister with the participation of the union leaders.
The minister said that the government’s efforts to get rid of practices have union support.
The minister congratulations on the actions of the Commissioner of Labor Thrissur to cancel 11 worker cards in connection with Nokkukoololi.
He said that similar actions must be taken throughout the state by labor officials if such incidents occur at their notification.
Sivankutty said that changing the headload workload law, 1978, under the government’s consideration.
A total of three lakh workers who used the registration card and had allegations that many used cards were not in this sector, the Minister said.
He instructed officials to do physical verification of the number of workers working in this sector.
