‘Take only 20% of the water from the Krishna’ river

Hyderabad: The Telangana Government urges the Krishna River Management Board (KRMB) to take only 20% of water for drinking purposes while considering the use of state water.
The government said it would seek the allocation of utilization of 15 TMCFT (75 TMCFT) to domestic water requirements for the projected population until 2051.

Meanwhile, Union Jal Shakti officials held meetings with KRMB and GRMB officials about arrangements to take over all irrigation projects in the two countries of Telangana and AP from October 14.
The two countries have provided information about several projects and distributed in detail project reports (DPRs).
