Ranchi: The State Health Department has expressed a large concern for the increase in covid-19 in the Regency of Ranchi and directed the administration to take fast action for early detection, patient management and effective contact search.
In a letter to Deputy Ranchi Commissioner-Cum-Chairman of the District Disaster Management Authority on Sunday, Head of Secretary (ACS) Additional Arun Singh, “There is an urgent need for the Ranchi District to consider strict control and control measures in the surge in the region to bring the situation Under control.
“Singh said the district reported 99 cases from December 19 to 25 and they rose to 1,300 from December 26 to January 1.
He added that the district’s pepositives increased to 3.01% at 0.26% earlier.
Singh said: “This problem needs to be handled pro-actively and immediately to ensure that there is no further transmission deployment or we achieve the situation of increasing mortality due to the delay in detection of cases.” ACS suggests a district to increase testing in a focused manner while maintaining a ratio between RT-PCR and mice.
He advised the government to carry out pro-active contact and isolate or quarantine positive covid patient contacts.
At least 30 contacts per positive case must be tracked and tested within 24 hours, he added.
ACS directs that single war space must be established with logistics to strengthen the contact search system.
ACS said the strategy of five-fold testing, tracking, isolation, care and vaccination must be followed and the vaccination rate must be increased in the district.
Singh added that critical infrastructure, including beds, human resources, equipment, medicines and consumables need to be ascertained.
ACS warns that the district government should not be withdrawn by data as omicrons are equally fatal for those who are not vaccinated and have co-morbidity.
He said going with a trend in case rise, the country would have 20,000 active cases in the second week of January.
Hint has been issued for all districts in this case, ACS added.
