Patna: Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) on Thursday convinced full support to CM Nitish Kumar in demanding a caste-based census in the country and giving the status of the specialty category to Bihar from the center.
“RJD will stand with cm so far concerning this issue.
He must make a brave decision,” Presidential State President Jagadand Singh told MediodPersons here.
He suggested Nitish to take a “bold step” and remove the ministers from his cabinet who opposed his policy.
Singh added the opposition leader in the Tejashwi Prasad Hanta Assembly Yadav wanted to be with CM in matters relating to the improvement of people in the state.
“The caste-based census will help policy formulation for the benefit of the poor and suppressed part of the community,” Singh said.
“In each government, CM has the right to make a decision.
Nitish must eliminate ministers who oppose their policies,” he added.
Singh also reminded Nitish about the controversial DNA statement that PM Narendra Modi did during the 2015 Assembly in Bihar.
“No one dares to do the DNA test of Bihar people.
Since independence, every time people from this country want, they succeed in overthrowing the government in the country,” Singh said.
He added that RJD will also support the government in the steps taken to overcome covid pandemics in the state.
“The government, however, must ensure that poor workers and daily wages do not face problems,” he said.
Senior JD (U) Parcorary K Tyagi said special status for the Census of Bihar and Caste-based in the country is not a particular party problem.
“CM has raised this old problem.
As far as it concerns special status, it is related to pride and prestige Bihar and I am happy that RJD also supports it,” said Tyagi.
“Only giving grants to Bihar is not enough.
No one will establish an industrial unit in Madhepura or Saharsa, leaving Chennai or Ahmadabad, if he is not given an incentive,” said Tyagi.
Meanwhile, BJP has underestimated the statement of the President of the State RJD.
The National Secretary General of OBC Morcha Nikhil Anand BJP said the RJD functionary was daydreaming.
He also reminded RJD about how Nitish parted ways with them after forming a government in 2015.
“RJD was desperate for power in the state.
They first have to play a good opposition role,” he said.
